The South West Coast Path - UKA summer spent exploring. The South West Coast Path is perhaps the UK’s ultimate challenge for the long-distance hiker - a 630-mile adventure around the coastline of England’s south west peninsula. The homeland sure is pretty. Aug 2018

Snowdon - UKNothing beats a stomp with your buddies! Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa in Welsh) is the highest mountain in Wales and England. Standing tall over the village of Llanberis, Snowdon is a part of a close-knit family of jagged peaks and can offer views of Snowdonia, Anglesey, Pembrokeshire and Ireland. Aug 2017

The Abel Tasman Coast Track #1We walked this track when we first visited NZ. It is now our local stomping ground and we have been back many times. How lucky are we to have this on our doorstep. March 2019

The Pororari River TrackA fabulous day walk, following the river through a stunning limestone gorge - Nice and easy loop. May 2020

Lake Rotoiti CircuitThe stunning Nelson Lakes. We thought we would just take a plod round this moderately challenging route in our everyday clothes. Don't worry, John only dropped the boy once. July 2020

Whispering FallsA local day stomp. Always beautiful, not always accessible. Aniseed Valley - 40 mins outside of Nelson. Aug 2020

Cable Bay WalkwayA girls weekend! My favourite! The walkway runs between the Glen and Cable Bay, with spectacular views and some impressive bush. Parts are steep and a reasonable fitness level is needed. Feb 2021

The Abel Tasman Track #2This time we didn't stay in the huts and have boats ferry our baggage (how very decadent - we were on holiday). We carried all our luggage and camped! Two years on from the original - April 2021

Flora Hut LoopAlways a winner in Kahurangi National Park. about an hour from Nelson. Easy up, gnarly down. Mount Arthur views. We'll leave that for another day to climb. July 2021

The GrampiansThe hills of home - these beauties are right behind the house. Many a pleasurable day spent up there. Aug 2021

Okiwi BayA private reserve in the Marlborough Sounds. How lucky are we! Such a beautiful spot close to home. An epic job by the landowner cutting through the bush and building huts. Gratitude. Oct 2021

The Inland Pack TrackA west coast stomp with one of my favourite girls and I must say, one of my all time favourite tracks. Just us and our tents for days on end in the wilds. Walking through rivers and limestone gorges. Camping where we liked, waking with the sun and the birds. Sheer bliss. Jan 2022
